The training session ‘The Foundations of Investigative Journalism’ was held from 15th to 17th May in the Mediacentar Sarajevo. This was the second in the series of training sessions for journalists organized as part of the new stage of the VEZZA project. The story essentials, finding ideas and sources for an investigative story are some of the themes covered in the training session ‘The Foundations of Investigative Journalism’.
The Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (NUNS) Award for extraordinary achievement in investigative reporting was presented to a story produced as part of the NetNovinar Training Center educational programme "Investigative reporting and organised crime" . The story by Djordje Padejski, awarded in the category of print media journalists up to 35 years of age, covers hunt of protected bird species in Vojvodina. The awards were presented on May 3, the World Press Freedom Day.
The first NUNS award for exceptional success achieved in investigative journalism in the category of print media for journalists under the age of 35 was given to Đorđe Padejski for a series of articles on the hunt for protected bird species in Vojvodina, made as a result of the educational program “Investigative Journalism and Organized Crime” implemented by the NetNovinar Training Center. The awards were given on International Press Freedom Day, May 3.
The training session ‘The Foundations of Investigative Journalism’ will be held from 15th to 17th May in the Mediacentar Sarajevo. This is the second in the series of training sessions for journalists organized within the new stage of the VEZZA project. Over 11 radio stations from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina will take part in the training session.
Journalists from eight countries in South East Europe produced the first draft of the first Ethics Guidelines for Online Journalists in the region during a seminar organised in Sarajevo by NetNovinar Journalism Training Center and SEENPM. The Guidelines are planned to be open for global discussion in September 2006.
