• Superior knowledge of the written English language. Good spelling, punctuation, grammar and attention to detail is a must
• Excellent creative writing skills. We don’t need you to just know proper grammar. Your sentences must be informative, to the point, with a wide vocabulary and fun to read
• Understanding of writing for the web, including being capable of clarity and brevity in writing along with inclusion of hyperlinks, images, video
• Ability to produce web content within tight deadlines
• Good editing skills

Following qualifications will be considered a bonus for the candidate:

• Previous experience or involvement in creating guides for PC and console video games
• Degree in English, journalism or mass communication
• Involvement in or understanding of the gaming culture
• Basic image editing/manipulation skills
• Readiness to work in a fast paced news environment
• Hands on experience with various video game genres
