Transparency of Media Financing in BiH: Towards Developing Criteria for Media Funding and Advertising of the Public Sector
2017
The project “Transparency of Media Financing in BiH: Towards Developing Criteria for Media Funding and Advertising of the Public Sector” is implemented in partnership with the Centre for Media Development and Analysis and in cooperation with The Dutch Journalism Fund and the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and the Coordination of the Fight against Corruption.
It is focused on developing effective mechanisms for enhancing transparency of media funding and establishing legitimate criteria for the allocation of public funds to the media. The aim is to gather and publish relevant information on media financing through analytical reports, educational articles and promotional campaigns and to involve representatives of state institutions, the media and non-governmental organizations as well as media and financial experts and analysts through consultative meetings. The goal is to support and contribute to the implementation of the Strategy for the Fight against Corruption in BiH 2015-2019 and the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy for the Fight against Corruption 2015-2019.
The project is funded by the Government of the Netherlands through the Matra programme.
